CMF's mission
Chamber Music Festanza’s faculty and staff are devoted to creating a safe environment for students to build communication and listening skills. At Chamber Music Festanza, young artists develop their musicianship skills in the intimate setting of chamber music playing, while building friendships and comradery.
Collaborating with peers through chamber music is unique from creating music alone in the practice room or in an orchestra. Through music making in smaller ensembles, students find both their own voice and a voice within a community. Faculty at Chamber Music Festanza are dedicated to helping students listen to and guide their peers to create a story that engages their audiences. We celebrate the diverse backgrounds of all our students and encourage students to engage in challenging conversations to open their views in music and in life. We want our students to find the joy in music making and find challenges they can continue to explore. Learning with peers and teachers at Chamber Music Festanza will inspire students to bring music engagement to their own communities. |
